Ninja Performance EGR Block Off Plates

Use these Ninja Performance EGR Block Off Plates to block/cover the holes left when removing your EGR system on your off road vehicle.

The EGR system is used to lower emissions during idle and cruise by routing used combustion exhaust gasses back into the engine via the EGR valveolar through the surge tank/upper plenum.

Over time, the EGR system causes carbon buildup on the piston crowns that can heat up during combustion and get hot enough to glow, and therefore cause the air/fuel charge to pre ignite, ie go off before spark ignition. Which is bad.

Removing the EGR can keep your engine and air intake system cleaner, cleaner piston crowns, less pre ignition, a cleaner engine bay and will make it easier to service the engine, including making it easier to remove upper surge tank (upper manifold) during engine servicing.

Made out of billet aluminum.

To save customers money, this set of EGR Block Off Plates only has two plates. The third plate in some of the other available kits is useless. It does not block anything or seal any leak. It simply is not needed. So to save our customers money we left it out of our kit. We simply do not like waste.

Included in the kit is the plate to block the hole in the exhaust and the plate to block the hole in the plenum left when removing the EGR Valve. The second hole in the plenum left by the EGR pipe from the exhaust can be left open.

WARNING - Removing the EGR may cause your vehicle to fail emissions, both actual and visual.
1991-1993 California Spec and 94+ vehicles may throw a CEL.

It is possible to avoid this EGR CEL by purchasing and installing the Ninja Performance EGR Delete Box seen here which mimics the OEM EGR system, making the ecu think the EGR system is complete and functioning correctly for 91-93 Cali Spec and 94-99 vehicles.
